House Groups

House or Class groups are at the heart of Methodism and play a key role in church life, particularly in a church as large as EMC. Small groups of people get together in each other’s homes for fellowship, study, prayer and mutual support.

Everyone can join a class - there are a wide variety of groups, which meet at different times in the week or month.

NEW HOUSE GROUP at EMC

“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship,  to the breaking of bread and to prayer … every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts.  They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts”  Acts 2:26

We are very pleased to be offering a new Home Group at EMC which we are planning to launch after the summer.

Peter and Kathryn Thompson are starting a new House Group which will meet weekly (during term-time)

at their home in Epsom. Would you like to join this new group?

If so, please contact Suzanna Bates for more information: rev.suzanna@btinternet.com 020 8647 2147

You will be aware that to accomplish our Mission Statement we have discerned that God is calling us to encourage "all to share in the excitement and challenge of the Christian journey".

The leadership team are convinced that one way we can respond to this aspect of our Mission Statement is through the support and development of House Groups.

These House Groups run alongside Alpha and Disciple.

We therefore want to support the existing House Groups and when necessary to start new ones.
