Genesis is a parent and baby/toddler group which meets every Friday morning during term time from 10am until 11.30am.  It is aimed at people with children aged 0-3 years.  We have the use of three rooms so there is a specific baby area as well as somewhere for the older ones to run around and play on the ride-on toys.  We have a different craft activity each week and we end each session with a drink and biscuit for the children whilst they have a story and sing-song (sometimes with instruments for the children to play!

For the grown-ups there is the chance to have a laugh and a chat over a cup of tea or coffee with a piece of homemade cake or a biscuit.

We also have special activities during the year such as joining in the Christmas service for the under 5’s, Comic Relief etc.

All of this for £1.50 per week or £15 per term!

Genesis aims to be a welcoming and friendly group where we can all support each other.  As parents we all know how tiring and difficult parenthood can be at times or how daunting it can be moving to a new area where you know no-one.  It is often great to meet up with other people with young children and for the little ones to make some new friends.

At Genesis it is the parent not the child who is the member and by keeping  membership at a maximum  of about 40, Genesis is a group where its size and the fact that people attend regularly means we have a chance to really get to know each other.

We also have regular social activities just for the grown ups.  Once a month we have a social in the evening and we have a Christmas meal and summer event such as a barbeque.
