Wesley Quilters
These
pictures were taken in April 2005 at our Quilt Show to celebrate 20 years of
sewing by the Wesley Quilters of EMC.
This group
was formed in 1985 by the then Minister’s wife and several friends, taking
Susannah Wesley (John’s mother) as our namesake: we still have three original
members but ladies of all ages have come/ and gone from our midst during these
years. We have made and sold many items for various charities, but this has
been our
first show – and we have all been much encouraged by the positive response from
all who visited!
Long may we sew!!

We are a group of ladies who share a common interest in needlework.
We channel our love of sewing into patchwork and quilting and sometimes we make banners for the church.
A selection are shown under the link below, the Wesley is unique, please note the images here do not reflect on the true beauty, so please come and view the real things, if your trip is long then please e-mail to ensure the full range is available as in general only a small sample is on display in the Church at any one time, indeed there are another dozen not on this web site.
We meet at 8pm on Tuesdays in the Lower Lounge.

We usually have a group project in progress, which we donate to or sell for a chosen charity. We also make numerous small items for stalls at fundraising events. Members are, of course, free to do their own personal work. Although our expertise is not limitless we are able to teach new members wishing to learn.
We are a happy, mixed age group and you are very welcome to join us.
